Our answers to some frequently-asked questions should help.
Who can be nominated for Charles Maher award?
Any individual, Living Streets Local Group, organisation or local authority who has made a difference to their local streets can be nominated. If they have worked to create safer, better or more enjoyable streets for pedestrians then they are eligible.
What will the winner receive?
The winner will be given a certificate and presented with a trophy to acknowledge their achievement. Their activities will be given national recognition via promotion through Living Streets channels.
What will the winner have to do?
The winner will agree to be featured in any promotion of the award (ususally via the media and online) and the individual or representative should be available to attend the Living Streets Supporters' Conference 2014 on 21 June in London.
Who will be on the judging panel?
The judging panel will be made up of the Living Streets Chief Executive, the Living Streets Chair of Trustees and a Living Streets Local Groups representative. Judging will take place after the closing date. Each entry will be judged on the creativity of the nominee's campaigning activity and the impact they've made.
When will the winner be announced?
The winner will be announced publicly at the Annual Supporters' Conference 2014. The winner may be informed in advance and invited to attend on the day.
